Participants Data Privacy and Data Usage

Vutivi Patient’s Health Analytics will collect individual participants health data to create aggregated reports that provide an overview of patient’s reported outcomes for the specific conditions. The primary diseases are COVID-19 related symptoms, treatment and recovery timelines, Diabetes patient’s outcomes, High Blood Pressure, and many other conditions to be considered in future. The system will also report post-trial health outcomes for individuals that participate in clinical trials. Furthermore, the data is intended to inform future researcher, contribute to policy advancement and patient care by health care practitioners. Additionally, the aggregated data will benefit the population at large in improving their knowledge about the conditions.

Data Privacy Statement

Personal Identifiable information. The following demographic information will be collected. The data will be collected as part of account registration. First Name, last name, email address, year of birth, gender, race, location by province or district for certain conditions.  The collected personal data will be handled in accordance with the National Health Act (Act No. 61 of 2003) and the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Bill. Your personal information will not be shared with any service providers or business partners, or even the government. All data will be extracted and shared in aggregated format. You will not be identified by your name. Your personal data is only collected for the account creation and for a descriptive statistic on age, location, and race in relation to the different items of reporting.

Storage

The data will be stored in a cloud-based system, VP Health will ensure that they are stored all necessary processed are taken to ensure the information cannot be lost, damaged, or accessed
unlawfully. You have a right to access your personal data and to request the correction of any error in relation to your personal data or to object to the processing of your personal data. You can exercise those rights by sending a request to The VP health Analytics Pty Ltd via the following email: info@vphealth.co.za. You expressly consent to the processing of your personal data by VP health Analytics. You can withdraw your consent to such processing by sending a written request to The VP health Analytics Pty Ltd. By signing this document continuation with completion of this survey you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as set forth above. Confidentiality. The data will be held in strict confidence and will not be shared with other parties.

Protection of data

VP health has appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful disclosure of personal data. Only participants above the age of  18 can participate and give consent to the registration and completion of the self-reporting information. Access to personal data will only be granted to VP Health representatives who have a legitimate job-related need to access such information.

Procedure

You will be requested to complete a self-reporting assessment before you can register you are required to create your account and complete your consent statement. VP Health will not used personal data in publications or make personal data public.
